It's Coffee Break Time

Good Wednesday morning to ya all!!! Hope you all are able to enjoy the Summer days... kinda gives ya a lift when the sun is shinning.

Take a hop over to the Diva's blog to check out the color challenge we are using this week. I found it to be a little of a challenge, just because the colors aren't something I use everyday. The colors are Always Artichoke, Night of Navy, Bashful Blue and Whisper White or Very Vanilla. I used the Top Note as the main focus on the front of my card. It also gave me the opportunity to use my Big Shot..... a little machine that is quite useful... be sure and try it, if you haven't!!!! To further show the tree and the Top Note, I used a SU marker and followed the perferated lines all around. The strips under the Top Note, is Always Artichoke and Bashful Blue which are scalloped with the border punch. I then added the white decorative ribbon and Night of Navy ribbon. The stamp set I used is "Le Jardin Botanique" #113232. Inside of the card, I used the negative space from the Top Note, stamped it with "Itty Bitty Backgrounds" #114996, and the flower from "Le Jardin Botanique".

Be sure and leave a comment about the card, and thanks for stopping by, I appreciate your comments and your company!!!

Stampin Up is coming out with a new catalog real soon. There are some really unique sets, some I'm sure you would enjoy. Be sure and let me know IF you are interested in getting the new catalog!! You can email me at cogjplusd@sssnet.com

It's Coffee Break Time

Good morning to you, and I hope you all are enjoying Summer... sunshine and flowers and beaches and most of all, special times with those you love.

It's time again for the Diva's to create in hopes that you will come along and create with us. Making cards can be so rewarding, and it gives time you the time to enjoy a quiet time of creating.... so come along. This weeks challenge was a sketch challenge, and can be found on the Diva's site at http://divacoffeebreakdesigns.blogspot.com/

I made a wedding card or it could be used for an anniversary card. The colors I used are Real Red, Certainly Celery, Basic Gray and Versamark for the embossing. I used "Ever After" #113401 stamp set, plus took advantage of the chance to use several punches SU offers. Such as the heart punch, the eyelet border punch, the slot punch and the corner rounder. The punches sure make creating a little easier. I used a beautiful ribbon, Pretty in Pink Taffeta near the bottom of the card.... kinda looks like the heart is floating on the card. Of course the envelope had to have something on it, something so it's not just plain, so I stamped the heart from the stamp set. I hope you enjoy the card and your time spent looking around on my blog.

SU is getting ready to release a NEW CATALOG real soon. We have several things that are at great prices, so check it out on my website..... everyone loves a bargain!!!!! http://www.denisestoner.stampinup.net/

Enjoy your Summer day!!

My Mom

Today, June 3, would have been my Mom's 74th birthday. She passed away 8 years ago.

I am very blessed and thankful that our God gave me my Mom. She was of course my Mom, but also my best friend. All through my life, she was always there for me.... with a listening ear, or an afternoon out and lunch, or some advice that I needed to hear, or so often she created family times for myself and my brothers and sisters that have become real treasures to us as adults. She lived not near long enough on this earth, but I do know for sure, she is in the arms of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. I know she has no more pain, and I also know I will see her again, which makes being on this earth a little easier.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!! I love you!!!

It's Coffee Break Time

Good morning to all of you!! I hope that Summer is starting to arrive in your neck of the woods... seems like in the Summer, we have more energy, and make more reasons to go and be outside!!! The warm sunshine just makes my day, as they say.

Wednesday is our day to shine here at the http://divacoffeebreakdesigns.blogspot.com/

I hope that you are taking part in our challenges and enjoying your time with us... I do enjoy your stopping by to peak in on us. Our challenge this week was to use the Big Shot when designing our cards. Funny thing, I ordered some new dies that I didn't have yet, planning to use them for this challenge.... but for some reason, my card took a completely different turn, and turned out a lot different than I had planned. I'm hoping that happens to others and not just myself..HAHA!! I used several ink colors: Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey... the cardstock I used: Always Artichoke, Regal Rose, and Whisper White.... the Big Shot dies I used: Sizzix Flower Daisies 2, and Sizzix Embosslits Cherry Blossom... the stamp set I used was LeJardin Botanique. The embellishments that I used: 5/8 Neutral Brads, and Mellow Moss 1/4 grosgrain ribbon. When you look at my card, I hope you can see the 3 different colors that I used to stamp the trees. I hadn't tried using the inks like that on the stamps, but found it to be a lot of fun, especially when you are trying to show the light source in your project by the shades of your colors you use.

Leave a comment... I like to know that you have visisted and do hope you enjoy your time here, while you are looking around. I do hope you have a very pleasant Summer and that you are able to schedule some time for yourself to enjoy and relax and recharge!!!

I guess I'm not really used to that, and expected it to take me longer. The colors of my card are: So Saffron, Bashful Blue, and Delicate Dots, plus Not Quite Navy ink. I used my Big Shot, using the texturz plates, the Scallop Border Punch, and the Large Scallop Circle . The stamp sets that I used are: "Thank You Kindly" #111700 and "Flowers in Silhouette" #114498. I hope you enjoy the card. I also want you to know , I enjoy and appreciate that you stop by .

It's Coffee Break Time

Yes, another week has passed us by, and we are working to inspire you, to make a card and jump into the fun yourself!!! Each and every week, we have a challenge of some kind. This week, we are to use the following colors: Riding Hood Red, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, and Always Artichoke. The color combination was really a pleasure to work with, so grab your colors and come along!!! Check out the particulars at http://divacoffeebreakdesigns.blogspot.com/

My card is done with a gate fold.... I really enjoy working with something that is different. I used the colors listed above. I also used the round scallop punches, both sizes. I also used the stamp set "Le Jordin Botanique" #113232. The small scallop has a part of the tree and a flower in that stamp set, that has been embossed with SU's Iridescent Ice EP. The ribbon, which is just SO PRETTY, is the Riding Hood Red stitched ribbon. I do hope you like the card and dwill look at the other Divas... for they have a lot of inspiring ideas out there!!!
Notice that the envelope is stamped along with the same theme as the card. I've had a lot of compliments on the outside of the envekopes and how they match the card. So try embellishing your envelope. We can give the mail people something to look at!!!! HA!!

I hope to see you next time, and I want to thank you for stopping by today!!! It's my pleasure to have you!!!

I hope you can take time to look over the Diva's cards and ideas. You can find the Diva's blog here: http://divacoffeebreakdesigns.blogspot.com/

The challenge this week was a sketch... with a butterfly.. WOW!! So it gave me the opportunity to get out several butterflies and use them in the card design. I do hope you like it. The colors are mostly Bashful Blue and Kiwi Kiss. The butterflies are colored with the SU Markers, and some of them are pop-dotted for a little 3D effect. The butterflies are from the following SU stamp sets: God's Beauty #113222; Pretty Amazing #111006; and Flight of the Butterfly #111564.

Be sure and stop over at the Diva's blog and join us and then POST your card... we'd love for you to join us!! Try it it's a lot of fun!!!

It's Coffee Break Time

Good Mornin to you all out there!!!! I hope you all have had a great week, just full of the things that you love and things you enjoy doing!! What makes your week great?? I know when I can spend a lot of time in my scrap room creating, it makes for a happy and peaceful week... what about you????

Of course it's Wednesday Diva challenge time again... seems to roll around about the same time every week... isn't that amazing?? HA!! Have you thought about making cards along with us, and taking the challenge... well, we welcome you to having a lot of fun and using your creativity. Join us won't you??!! http://divacoffeebreakdesigns.blogspot.com

The challenge this week was to make a card with the Big Shot. Ya know I have plenty of tools, and when SU started with the Big Shot, I really wondered IF it was ANOTHER tool that I just had to have. Well, I've been playing around for a while with my Big Shot, and I tell ya, it's a really great machine... it's easy to use... it's able to accept other dies... and the dies available are really easy to use in making cards and scrapbooking. So think about one for yourself. You can order from my SU website 24/7... it doesn't close!! http://www.denisestoner.stampinup.net/

My card was almost ALL from my Big Shot... I don't know that I have made too many cards without stampin!! I used Sizzix Flower Layers with Leaf, Flowers Layers #3, and one of the Texturz plates. I used Green Galore , Bashful Blue and So Saffron inks. I also added color to my card by using SU's chalks. The paper I used is: Delicate Dots DSP, So Saffron cardstock, Baja Breeze DSP, Bashful Blue cardstock, and Green Galore cardstock. I die cut several of the flowers from the two Sizzix dies that I used, put them together to create a lot of color interest, and then cut the card along that edge in the shape of the flowers. It's kinds hard to tell from looking at the picture, but the second strip of the Green Galore textured cardstock is on the inside of the card. I hope I've explained it so it can be understood. I know you will find lots of inspiration on the other Diva's blogs... so be sure and visit them, you will be glad you did!! Thanks so much for stopping by to visit my blog, it is a real pleasure to have you here!!!! Stop back again.

Enjoy your week!! It's a gift ya know!!

It's Coffee Break Time

Good Wednesday Morning, once again. The Diva's are ready with their challenges, which was a sketch challenge this week. You can check in the blog, to see just what the sketch looks like then you can join in with us!!! We would sure love to have you join us!!! http://divacoffeebreakdesigns.blogspot.com/

Today's sketch was rather easy to use, something that will lend inself to many different types of cards. I am using Baja Breeze, Ruby Red, Going Gray and Whisper White. I used most of these in cardstock, with the addition of Baja Breeze Design Series Paper. I also used Whisper White Craft ink and embossed the design on the Ruby Red strip throught the center of the card. I used Upsy Daisy #111710 for the stamp set, used the scallop punch, the ticket corner punch, the oval punch and the large white brads. Designing a card using SU's punches can be an absolute breeze, TRY THEM!! They are available on my SU website, you can shop 24/7... can't find better hours and no mall lines!!!! ;~~) http://www.denisestoner.stampinup.net/

I do thank you and appreciate that you do stop by and take a look at my blog!! Take care of YOU, and so stop back!!!

It's Coffee Break Time

Good Wednesday morning to you!! I hope you have been checking out the other Divas blogs and their cards... we have some really talented people in our group. We would also love to have you play along in our weekly challenge. Check in at http://divacoffeebreakdesigns.blogspot.com/

Our challenge this week is a color challenge. The colors given are: Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Basic Grey, Going Grey, and Basic Black. I love to do color challenges, but I found these colors hard to put together... I wanted to add an Old Olive or a Pixie Pink or something. However, I got them done... yes I did two cards. The first one, I did embossing with SU's Iridecent Ice EP. When taking the picture... it's hard to tell just what you are looking at... so the card DOES look much better IRL than it does in the picture. I used Urban Oasis, since one of the patterened papers was a black pattern, so I did put something different in the card. I mentioned the embossing, I also used the scalloped punch, and the corner rounder. I used black brads from the Vintage collection of brads and the 1/4 inch black ribbon. The stamp set I used is Music Expressions #113718.

The second card is done with the Whisper White, Basic Black, Basic Grey and the Urban Oasis. The Basic Grey, I used the Texturz plate in my Big Shot, and I also added the black ribbon to this card also. I used two stamp sets, Live Like You Mean It #111586 for the flowers and for the sentiment I used Bella's Bloom #111600.

I do hope you enjoy looking through our cards and I hope you also get some inspiration so you can do your own cards. I enjoy making cards SO MUCH, because when I give a card to someone, I'm kinda giving them a part of me, and plus I've taken the time to make the card for them, which makes it more special. So try it... are you are card maker????!?

I am currently offering a card making class twice a week for the local people. I would love to have you attend. We do have lots of fun, and plus it gives us an evening out with friends. You can make arrangements by sending me a email. (cogjplusd@sssnet.com) I hope to hear from you!!

Enjoy your week!!

It's Coffee Break Time

Good Mornin once again!! I'm hoping that you are starting to make this a part of your Wednesday, a time set aside when you can grab a coffee and enjoy yourself along with us Divas. We would love to have you participate along with us... so come along!!!

Todays challenge is a sketch which can be found at http://divacoffeebreakdesigns.blogspot.com/

Todays challenge gave me the opportunity to use colors that I don't use a lot of, and suprisingly it came together, I think, really well. Ya know how sometimes, you do something and ya kinda find yourself really liking what the end result are... well, that is how I feel about this card. Let me know what ya think... I have big shoulders.. kinda.. I think!! HA!

The stamp sets that I used are: Fabulous Flowers #109343 and Pretty Amazing #111006. The colors I used are Bashful Blue, Barely Banana, and Confetti CS, along with DSP Delicate Dots. The inks were about the same with the addition of Summer Sun. The card is embellished with Bashful Blue buttons and taffeta ribbon. I used the scallop border punch and I also did some paper piercing. (IF you haven't tried this technique yet... try it... I really enjoy it)

Well, until next time, I hope you enjoy each and every day... make them count, because ya know, none of us knows what will happen minute to minute.

God Bless!

It's Coffee Break Time

Good morning to ya all!!! Yes, it's Coffee Break Time, time for you to take time to be inspired and to inspire. We would love for you to come along and create with us!!! Be sure and look at the other Diva's... lots of beautiful cards, and lots of inspiration. Check us out!!! ;~~)

This weeks challenge was to use the Big Shot for making our cards or projects. If you haven't tried the Big Shot, just take time and give it a try. It is SO CONVENIENT for making die cuts, for putting a texture on your cardstock or design paper, or even embossing. This machine of mine, it sits out on my work desk at all times.... all I have to do, is put the paper and die cut or whatever I'm using together... and it's ready to go... it's really that SIMPLE!!

While I was making my card this week, I had all kinds of ideas, but ended up using only one texture plate in my Big Shot to make my card. The colors that I used are: Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip, and Pretty in Pink. I also used SU's Vintage Brads in the outer corners of the card. I used a few stamp sets of SU... Independence Day (the flourish)#114992, Central Park (the long stem flower)#113732 and Upsy Daisy (the flowers and the sentiment)#111710. I had lots of fun using different stamp sets... I think it's a great way to get more use out of your sets. What sets that you have, can you put together... have you thought about it??
Please notice that my pictures of the card, usually includes a little of the envelope in the background of the card, because I normally use some portion of the design from the card to decorate the envelope. I think it's a good way to set your design apart, to make them unique.

I do hope you enjoy your day, and I want to thank you for stopping by my blog... it is great to have you here, it's a real pleasure!!! ;~~)

Remember you can order from SU at any time that it is convenient for you... check out my website today!

It's Coffee Break Time

Good Morning to ya all!! I hope is it getting near Spring and warm weather where you are... your little corner of the world. Guess we all are ready for some beautiful sunshine!!!

Well, as they say.... grab your beverage of choice and come along with us Diva's for some inspiration and to see some real creativity. Be sure and visit the other Diva's, there is just so many ideas out there. http://www.divacoffeebreakdesigns.blogspot.com

This week's challenge was a sketch challenge, and I didn't have any trouble with the sketch, but kept wondering about the colors that I picked. I tried to use something that I don't always use... to broaden my creativity..haha!! So here we go with the description.... The stamp set I used was Font of You, #113405. I used Tangering Tango CS and DP, Creamy Caramel, and Chocolate Chip. The second layer is embossed with SU's Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder... lots of fun to work with, and I liked the color it came out on the Creamy Caramel. I used SU's paper piercer and mat to pierce the DP, and then SU's brads for the top two layers and on the SU ribbon. I do hope you like the card, and believe me a card like this is great to have on hand simply because it can be used for so many different uses. The stamp set had several other stamps in it, and can be used for many events also... so IF you would like to pick it or anything else from SU, be sure and check out my website... you can look and shop 24/7... how great is that??!! I myself do my best shopping in the weee hours of the morning!!

Thanks for stoppin by, I do appreciate your looking and your comments, and your friendship!!

Coffee Break Time

Greetings ya all!! Yes, grab your beverage of choice... it's Coffee Break Time once again. This week, the challenge is a color challenge, using Bashful Blue, Rose Red, and Going Grey. I also added Whisper White for the base of my card. Since it is a color challenge, that means all the card creations will be completely different... WOW!! Great place for getting ideas!!

I used "Pretty Amazing" SU stamp set, #111006 on the inside of the card... I was wanting something a little different.. so I stamped the inside instead of most of the stamping on the outside of the card. Let me know how you like it. The card front was made as a curved card that kinda fits together... using that as the design for the card front. I also used some of the large white flowers, and added color using the Bashful Blue and the Rose Red inks, and used Bashful Blue Design Paper and Rose Red Design Paper for the layers on the card front. The flowers have brad centers, all from SU.

Well, all the Diva's would love you all to stop by and take a peak at the card creations... and join in with us and do the challenges. They are a lot of fun, and I have found, it makes me take time to stamp... and that's FUN in my book!!! Our Diva's have a lot of creativity, a lot of ideas.. try it you just might like it!!!! ;~))

Just a reminder... the SALE-A-BRATION ends 03/31/2009. Are you still wanting to take advantage of the free stamp offer... get your order in soon, before it's too late. Using SALE-A-BRATION Stamps

Well, it's coffee break time again... so get yourself a beverage of choice.. mine is a carmel white chocloate mocha coffee .... and look around the Diva's blog. We also invite you to do the challenges right along with us, try them, they are a lot of fun!! I especially like the feeling of accomplishment when you get a few cards and a tag or two done.

This week we are using a sketch, and are also to use a stamp set from the SALE-A-BRATION Catalog. In my card, I'm using the Botanical Blooms. The colors I chose to work with are Barely Banana Cardstock, Whisper White and a few selections from the DSP Delicate Dots. My flowers are colored with the Stampin Up! markers... which IF you haven't tried them yet, you really owe it to yourself to give them a try. They are so easy to use knowing that they match all the cardstock and designer series paper packs... there's no guessing, or getting your mind made up and then to discover that the colors just don't work together.... guess we all have been at that point a time or two, UNFORTUNATELY!! While making this card, I also took the opportunity to use the 2" scallop punch, the border punch, and the mat and paper piercer.

Another thing I really like to do when finishing up a card, is to add parts of the design to the outside of the envelope. I think it just kinda finishes up the whole design process of making the card. It also really makes your reciever of the card, feel really special, just a little sooner when they recieve their card. Let's face it, it won't be like everyone elses!!

I also have come up with a logo to put on the back of my cards, just so that they can be identified as mine. Since I'm SO grateful for the talent that the good Lord gave me, I use the cross and a scripture verse, which is my life verse. A verse which gives me the strength to get through a tough situation, and just to get through the day, giving thanks to our God. I hope it reminds others to give this some thought when they turn my card over and look. I really like that they see my designed logo INSTEAD of halmark!!!! I hope I've given you a couple of things to think about for your card designs!!

I do hope you enjoy this card and will take the time to look at the other Diva's... there's lots of great ideas out there!!

Until next time... keep on Stampin Up!!

My Swing Card

Good mornin everyone!! Sure hope your week has been a good one. I'm real ready for Spring, how about you!! Somehow, with the sunshine and warm tempertures... kinda puts a smile in your heart and a bounce in your step!! HA!!

It's time again for the card of the week from the Diva's Coffee Break Team. Our assignment was to make a card using the Big Shot, which is from Sizzix. IF YOU don't have this tool, you should really consider getting one. First of all, all the die cuts and the embossing dies... fo course have their own machines. But if you're like me, I don't have th espace or want the expense of having several different machines. The answer (drum-roll, PLEASE) is the BIG SHOT!!! This machine is known for being able to use the various dies out there in the card making and scrapbooking world. IF YOU would like more information, Stampin' Up! has the machine and we are going to offer several exclusive dies just available from SU!!! That's really exciting!! WOOHOO!

My card.. my swing card was put together by using the Top Note die and the Flower Layers with Leaf die. I used Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set (#113734) on the background of th third layer and on the mailing envelope. I used the following colors: Brilliant Blue, Bashful Blue, Pacific Point and Whisper White. The card started with a base of the Whisper White at 51/2" square, then two more layers, each with an 1/8" smaller in measurement. I cut 2 Top Notes out of the Brilliant Blue and 1 of the Whisper White. The Whisper White Top Note, cut off the edge and then ink the edge with Brilliant Blue, and attach it to one of the Brilliant Blue Top Notes. The Bashful Blue is the smallest in the base of the card, and is stamped randomly with the Brilliant Blue ink and Bashful Blue ink, using the flower from the Fifth Avenue Floral set. I cut 2 sets of the Flowers and Leaf dies, and layered the flowers to make one, and used the leaves under the layered flower, with the bashful blue button as the center. The Brilliant Blue corduroy brad is put in the top right corner, then the whole top note unit is centered onto the card base.

I do hope you will take a look at the other sedign team members cards... we have a lot of creativity in our group. You could also try the challenge along with us... you'll have fun, I'm sure!! (http://www.divacoffeebreakdesigns.blogspot.com/)

Till next week, at Coffeebreak time.... take cre of you and those you love!!

Card Club

I had planned at the first of this year to start a "Card Club". Not a club to play cards.. no poker or go fish.. but a gathering of ladies to MAKE our own special cards. These meetings will be scheduled in April, with a daytime and an evening get together... twice a month.
There will be more information coming... but all interested, can contact me thru the SU website address... http://denisestoner.stampinup.net/ . Any questions, please let me know. Keep posted for more information!!! Hope to see you there!!

Another Card

Thought I would show you this card also. I just put some of the finishing touches on it, so take a look!!

I used the stamp set, "God's Beauty", #113222, along with the colors of Olive, Rose Red, and Whisper White. I used a square card this time, measuring 5.5 inches square. To color the stamped images, I used the SU's Watercolor Crayons... they are really lots of fun to use, especially along with an Aqua Painter, # 103954. The Aqua painter makes blending the colors so much easier, as far as getting the result that I was looking for. The butterfly was cut out, and I used Stampin Dimensionals to get the 3D look. I was also able to kinda roll the wings around a pen to get a further 3D look. The flowers were stamped, colored and cut out... then two flowers together made the flower blossom. I also usually ink most of the edges of all the papers that I use in a card, it gives the card a real finished look, in my opinion. This picture shows the envelope... I like to use a part of the design, and stamp it on the envelope to continue with the design. I think it sets the card apart from all the others!!

So happy card makin and scrappin!!

Stop back soon!!

Denise

The Diva's Coffee Break Designs/ Challenge #117

Greetings everyone!!

I hope you all have had a good week!! It's time again for our challenge over at DCBD. This time we had a sketch to follow.... so when designing a card, that's kinda half of the whole process. The colors I am using are: (all Stampin Up! , of course ;~)) Pacific Point, Sage Shadow, Really Rust and Very Vanilla. The stamp set I used was, A Kind Word, # 113194. When designing this card, I took the opportunity to use a few different tools, that I don't use just every day... I used the new Eyelet Border Punch, #113692, the Floral Frenzy Classy Brass Template, #111807, and a rather new embellishment the Pacific Point Corduroy Brads, #114341. I also colored the stamped image with the SU markers, and they worked SO WELL coloring this image... I felt like a little kid, coloring my picture. I hope you all do enjoy this card... it was enjoyable putting it together.

IF you are looking at the picture where I used the new border punch, and wondering how to use that punch... CALL, and let's get together for a workshop with you and your friends!!

Check back soon, and thanks for stopping by.

Enjoy your day, it's a gift!!

The Diva's Coffee Break Designs

Appologies first... I've been trying to find someone who can teach me and give me a few tips here and there, about "BLOGGING"! I am not a computer guru, and therefore, many times I go around and around in circles, and can't seem to accomplish what I'm trying to do. I'm still learning, so PLEASE be patient..... I'm glad I'm better at scrapbooking and card making than I am at blogging!! ;~)

I'm SO EXCITED to be a part of the Diva's Coffee Break Designs design team. It's something I've wanted to do, and am looking forward to forming new friendships, and using the creativity that our great God created me with. The design team will be using ALL Stampin Up products for our cards and any other projects that we share on the blog. All the products .. cardstock, inks, stamp sets, the BIG SHOT, and so many other products are available on my website at Stampin Up! 24 hours a day, 7 days a week... so take time and take a look!!http://denisestoner.stampinup.net/) I would enjoy hearing from YOU!! Check out the DCBD challenges... you'll be glad you did.

The following is my first card I did for the challenge. Our challenges each week will be a little different. Some of the challenges will be color challenges, some will be sketch challenges, and some will be projects done with the Big Shot. This challenge (#116) is a color challenge, where we were to use Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise, Basic Grey, and Whisper White. I used the Dream a Little stamp set (#113435) from Stampin Up. I do hope you like the card.
I don't know about you, but I get so much pleasure from creating cards, that I use my "homemade" cards for my friends and loved ones. These challenges are a great way to build a supply of cards where you will have many choices for every event. Yes, especially the events that are last minute... you will have a card.. your own hand made card! So come along with me, and let's get our collection of cards started.
I have plans to have a "Card Club" where we will make themed cards (3 to 5), and meet once a month at my home.. UNLESS, you and your friends want to meet at your home, let me know. Watch for further details!
Thank you for visiting my little corner of the blogging world. Stop back in and visit!!
May God Bless you and yours!

The Philly Inkers

While reading this, you might think, what or where are the Philly Inkers?? Glad you asked that question... when I lived in the Philly area, yes in Philadelphia, PA...... I belonged to a group of very talented and pleasant Stampin Up! stampers. We got together about once a month, and talked over current Stampin Up! business, and then we had a swap. What is a swap, you ask.. well, we would make a card front ( yes, without the back or the inside of the card), one for each person attending, and then we would all trade with each other. We were able to go home with lots of new ideas, usually a new technique or two, and more encouragement to make cards with our own design ideas. I always looked forward to attending the meetings and getting to know all the talented stampers... it was lots of fun!! What is an evening with a bunch of women without food and more chatting??!!

We had a conference call for some training for Stampin Up! business on Monday, and I found out that I had completed the first challenge when I started in July, and didn't even know it. What a nice surprise to find out I had a FREE stamp set coming and a $20 gift card for the new catalog. SO, I'm very excited to see the new catalog come out!!

The NEW CATALOG comes out 19 January2009. Wouldn't you like to see what Stampin Up has to offer? Their stamp sets are wonderful and the colors that match everything in the whole catalog is simply marvelous!!! E-MAIL ME, letting me know you woul dlike a catalog!!!

Be sure and enjoy your day... it is a gift!! ;~)
